Livingstone

Named after the well known missionary and explorer David Livingstone, Livingstone was established in 1905 and is located just 10km from the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, making it an ideal location for visitors wanting to explore the area. Near to the town one will find the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park where one can explore 66kmē of land viewing wildlife, a tropical forest and the Victoria Falls. The town itself is often missed as visitors arrive and head straight to their lodges closer to the falls. However, Livingstone town, is a quaint hamlet offering some interesting attractions of its own, including the Livingstone Museum - the oldest museum in Zambia, and the Maramba Market where one can purchase handcrafts and colourful fabrics.
