On arrival at Cape Town International airport, collect your vehicle and set off along the West Coast of the Cape towards the majestic Cederberg Mountain range. As you travel in a northerly direction you will pass through some of South Africa's most beautiful countryside. You will be delighted by the contrasts of rolling wheatfields to lush green citrus groves in the Ceres area. Experience traditional farm stalls offering true South African Culinary delights along the way. Stop for tea in Clanwilliam at the Clanwilliam Lodge.
At Clanwilliam, the tarred road ends and the adventure begins. The climb over the Pakhuis Pass winds through clusters of massive sandstone boulders - an awe inspiring sight of the effects of nature.
On arrival at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Retreat you will be entering an Oasis in the midst of the Wilderness. This journey will take approximately three and a half hours.

Inspired by the surrounding environment, the Spa uses, amongst others, the innovative and indigenous Moya products, which are prepared using some of the ancient healing plants of the Bushman - Buchu, Lanyana and Cape May.
You will then be ready for a breathtaking dining experience under the starlit sky. Enjoy a traditional South African barbeque (braai ) served at Embers, a unique outdoor setting within the reserve. Embers is built into a natural ancient sandstone amphitheatre of giant boulders overlooking dramatic cliffs and valleys and lit up by a roaring fire and hundreds of candles and lanterns. Diners are spoilt for choice with a South African salad buffet and homebaked breads, a choice of grills which includes Karoo lamb, traditional boerewors sausage, succulent steaks and chicken kebabs, and of course delectable desserts.
