Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers guests a unique bushveld experience in the heart of the Klein Karoo - the gateway to South Africa's scenic Garden Route. The authentic bushveld character of the area at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains, has been preserved and the lush indigenous vegetation is representative of the Cape Floral Kingdom - South Africa's 6th Natural World Heritage Site.

Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is situated in a malaria free area on a sprawling game farm in the Klein Karoo, Western Cape, South Africa.

Oudtshoorn follows a dramatically picturesque pass and all travellers entering the Klein Karoo from the Garden Route drives through unspoilt areas of great natural beauty.

Luxury ensuite tents situated on the edge of a natural waterhole with breathtaking views. Each has its own wooden deck overlooking the water where you can spot hippo, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, elephants, Cape Mountain Zebra to name but a few of the Big 5.

Children under the age of 12 are not permitted. Children of age 12 and over are charged as adults.

The Buffelsdrift Restaurant offers an à la carte or buffet menu that specializes in local Karoo cuisine – fresh produce and herbs from the area as well as a variety of freshly baked oven bread.

The selected wine list is a true representation of excellent South African wine and offers guests some of the best award winning wines on the R62 – the longest wine route in South Africa.
