The quaint country village of McGregor holds a delightful rustic appeal with most of the buildings having retained their original whitewashed walls and thatched roofs. The main street is lined with an assortment of art galleries, pubs and country stores and the surrounding countryside is extremely picturesque - ringed with mountains and criss-crossed with hiking trails, nature reserves vineyards and even a cheesery.

Set in the heart of the fertile Robertson valley and fed by the Breede River, McGregor is in close proximity to the Robertson wine route and other Route 62 towns of Robertson, Bonnievale and Ashton amongst others.
