The Knysna lagoon and the spectacular sandstone cliffs which form the Knysna Heads are one of Knysna's most landmark features. Visitors to Knysna should not miss the opportunity to enjoy a cruise of the lagoon and an excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. The lagoon, with its rising and falling tides, is home to a diversity of marine life including the endangered Knysna seahorse and over 200 species of fish. Encompassing the western head, the Featherbed Nature Reserve is a private nature reserve accessible only by ferry and home to the elusive Knysna Loerie and the shy Blue Duiker as well as a variety of other birdlife and wildlife. Visitors will enjoy a guided tour taking in spectacular views, an optional nature walk and a delectable buffet lunch beneath the Milkwood Trees.
