Ceres

Time needed: 3 Hour(s) to 2 Day(s)

Set in a rich and fertile fruit producing valley it is no wonder that Ceres derives its name from the Roman goddess fruitfulness and plenty. Well known for its snowfalls in winter, Ceres has a lot to offer the visitor, particularly outdoor enthusiasts, with activities ranging from 4x4 routes and hiking trails to some good fishing locations. There are also a number of game reserves and nature reserves in the area offering game viewing trips and guided tours to view fascinating bushman rock paintings.

The Klondyke Cherry Farm is a popular farm that draws many visitors during cherry picking season in October each year - a fun outing for the whole family.
