Cape Point and Peninsula Tour
This is an awe-inspiring full day or half day tour to the tip of the Cape Peninsula known as Cape Point. Glorious beaches, grand views and quaint, attractive coastal villages are all to be seen along the way.
The Cape Peninsula is one of the world's most scenic areas and stretches from the City centre to Cape Point.
The tour begins at 8.30am from your hotel with a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point taking you past the beautiful Clifton and Camps Bay beaches, with their soft white sand and sparkling blue water before stopping at a Llandudno look-out point to gaze out at the beautiful vision below.
After a quick stop and photo session we continue onto Hout Bay, a quaint, characterful village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. In Hout Bay your can choose to wander around the quaint town or take a boat tour out to seal island.
From Hout Bay we continue our journey on along the Chapman's Peak Drive, considered to be one of the world's most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve, which has magnificent fynbos vegetation, birdlife, endemic antelope species and zebra, historic lighthouses and shipwrecks.
After a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant (not included in cost), we continue onto Boulders Beach where we visit the friendly penguins at the Boulders Penguin colony as they play in the waves and relax in the sun. Our next stop is Simon's Town, a historic village with charming Victorian architecture and a naval base.
The full day tour ends at ± 17.30 after a visit to the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.
The half day tour departs twice daily and returns to the hotel at 1.30pm or 5.30pm and excludes Kirstenbosch Gardens.
