At the end of a purple carpet of fallen Jacaranda blossoms is a lodge of subtle decadence - Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa - set in the Mpumalanga lowveld between Hazyview and White River.
Cybele changes magically with the seasons, enhanced by the moving colours of indigenous and exotic vegetation. Tree species such as Turpentine and Jacaranda, Tibochina and Cassia exude their scent and colours adding to the tranquility and sensuality of Cybele Forest Lodge & Health Spa.
Now open is the gymnasium at Cybele offering the ultimate in fitness equipment and Therapy comprising a relaxing espresso, cappuccino and cocktail bar along with an exclusive gift emporium.
At Cybele there's lots to explore including forest walks to the nearby waterfall, horse riding, helicopter flips or simply soaking up the warm sun at one of the swimming pools. But, at the end of the day, it's about getting away from it all and simply relaxing in the calm of a living forest.

Your room at Cybele Forest Lodge
The magic of Cybele emerges as you are shown to your room. Accommodation is limited to 28 guests, ensuring peace and quiet, and personal attention. Each of the suites and cottages has been furnished and decorated to exacting standards. Original art adorns the walls and every whim is catered for, from the well-stocked mini bar in each room - complete with freshly sliced lemon and lime for your gin-and-tonic and ginger for your tea - to the little sheep you'll find on your pillow at night.
All rooms and suites have walled gardens, many with views over the mountains, and six have climate controlled pools for your exclusive use. Other features include separate lounge areas, air conditioning throughout, heated towel rails, satellite television, immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms - many with walled outside showers, underfloor heating, and fireplaces ensuring, in winter, you can drift off to sleep with the comforting flicker of an open fire.

The food at Cybele is supervised by internationally experienced chefs and could be described as classic French combined with traditional English. Naturally, we use only the best and the freshest of ingredients. No expense is spared in the preparation of our food, which has been acclaimed on numerous occasions by guests and journalists from all over the world, as amongst the best on offer in South Africa.
