Approximately 420km from Johannesburg, Tzaneen is in a rich and fertile valley where both tropical and sub-tropical agriculture thrives, producing most of South Africa mangos, paw-paws, litchis and other tropical fruit. Watched over by the beautiful Wolkberg Mountains, the scenery in the area is truly glorious with many opportunities for 4X4 drives and scenic hikes.
With a population of 80 000 people, Tzaneen is the second largest town in the Limpopo and the main trading area for the 650 000 people living within a 30km radius of the town.
Only an hours drive from the Kruger National Park and surrounding private game reserves, Tzaneen acts as an ideal stop-off before travelling onwards to view the 'Big Five'.
