Pumba Private Game Reserve

Set in the heart of the malaria-free Eastern Cape, Pumba Private Game Reserve offers excellent game viewing set against a beautiful landscape - and only 105km's from Port Elizabeth. Set on some 6000 hectares of privately owned land, the reserve offers spectacular views from the decks of each of the 12 chalets as well as from the Main Lodge.

The lodge's rustic appearance belies the sophisticated elegance and no luxury or detail has been spared to create a truly unique wildlife experience for the guests. With only twelve waterfront stone cottages, the guests can be ensured of personal attention and care from their hosts at all times.

Each cottage has its own elegant sense of décor and style with flawless luxury which compliments the untamed surroundings.

Guests are invited to enter Pumba's wildlife world of adventure where the 'Big Five', Significant 7, Diminutive Dozen and an amazing variety of other animals await them. Anything from the elusive leopard to the mighty eland can be expected. Guests will marvel at over 300 species of birds and other intimate encounters with fauna and flora. The game rangers are extremely knowledgeable about the wonders of this magical eco-system and their love of the bush is infectious.

Game viewing is done from special custom-made open landrovers with elevated seating and adequate protection from the elements. Our experienced game rangers will take you on an African adventure to view the Big 5, Significant 7, 22 species of antelope and a myriad of birdlife in their natural environment. Children can go on specially designed game drives with experienced rangers.
