Addo Elephant National Park
Nestled in the heart of the Sundays River Valley in the Eastern Cape is the Addo Elephant National Park, home to some 450 elephant. Taking into account the nearby coastline, Addo is one of the first reserves to introduce the Big 7 which adds whales and the Great White Shark to the existing 'Big Five'.
Spanning over 164 000 hectares, the park has grown rapidly since its conception and there are future plans to extend it further into a 360 000 hectare park. Only 75km from Port Elizabeth, Addo Elephant National Park offers a family friendly, malaria free opportunity to view a diversity of wildlife in their natural habitats, while still being in close proximity to the city.
