Four Deserts Tour

Travel south over Namibia's second highest mountain range to the edge of the Kalahari Desert.

Visit the Hardap Dam, Namibia's largest man-made lake, surrounded by a game reserve and home to a wide variety of game species. The dam is furthermore one of only two breeding sites for the white pelican.

Enjoy an optional refreshment in the restaurant of the resort. Travel to your lodge, situated amidst the red dunes of the Kalahari Desert. Rest of the day at leisure.

Green acacias and swaying grass contrast starkly against the red sand of the Kalahari Dunes. Camelthorn Trees serve as a sharp silhouette against the setting sun on your afternoon nature drive.

This morning, travel further south to Keetmanshoop and into the Nama Karoo Desert, a primordial environment isolated by mountain massifs.

Arrive at your lodge in the vicinity of the Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon on earth, in the early afternoon.

Join a sun downer mountain walk in the late afternoon

Part of the morning is utilized to visit the Fish River Canyon. Enjoy the panoramic view into one of Namibia's most superior wilderness areas.

Return to the lodge for Lunch (for own account). Relax at the pool

On a nature drive in the afternoon we observe the fragile desert ecosystem and the plant life that thrives there.

Dinner and overnight

After breakfast we travel to the Succulent Karoo Desert. After winter rains, this desert unfolds in a carpet of flowers and an explosion of bright colours. It is one of the 20 most important biomes in the world and counts as the most specie diverse desert on earth.

We will explore the desert plains on a nature drive in the later afternoon. Dinner and

overnight.

Travel to the ghost town Kolmanskop that was left to the hands of the relentless and unforgiving desert. Guided tour through this old diamond town.

Visit the Diaz Point and the colonial town of Lüderitz itself afterwards.

Drive back to Aus where you visit the Wild Horses of the Namib Desert at Garub en route.

We travel north into the oldest desert on earth, formed by the effect of the cold Benguela Current. Due to early morning fog, this arid desert becomes a life supporting structure for all its living organisms.

Early breakfast before travelling to Sesriem

Arrive at the gate (sunrise) and travel to Sossusvlei through the Tsauchab River Valley and view some of the highest dunes in the world

Continue the journey in your touring vehicle to the Sesriem Canyon

Depart the canyon and pass the Naukluft Mountains en route to your lodge for your overnight stay

Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch (optional and for own account)

Our lodge stands at the foot of unique petrified dunes, which we will explore on a nature drive in the afternoon.
