Ais-Ais Hot Springs

Named Ais-Ais which means ‘burning water’ in the Nama Language, the sulphurous hot springs are located at the southern end of the Fish River Canyon. Surrounded by scenery that looks similar to that of a lunar landscape - the hot springs offer an ideal resting place after exploring the other highlights of Namibia. The main attraction in Ais Ais is the spa complex where the warm waters are welcome recreation, especially during the winter months. The resort offers various pools - both warm indoor pools and cooler outdoor ones. The warm waters that bubble up at a temperature of around 60˚C are said to be particularly good for people suffering from rheumatism or aching joints.
